OK, here you go (but I’m not spreading the virus! No! I won’t!).
- In my last two jobs the first major task I had to undertake was giving someone the sack. I’m not sure what that says about my predecessors or me but if it happens again I’m going to buy a rubber Jack Welch mask and start wearing it to staff meetings.
- At 145 I used to be able to press 205. That was looong ago.
- Once, while staying at the Don Cesar, I rode the elevator with John O’Hurley. He was looking fairly guido, which struck me as odd. At one point I considered saying, “you may know it an Myanmar, but it will always be Burma to me,” but chickened out.
- If I didn’t know any better, I’d say I had mutant healing powers. And speaking of which …
- I still have all my comic books, in the Mylar bags; thanks mom.
- Every public work I am known for was written, edited and published without ever meeting my co-author(s), editors or publishers.
- I have seen true, deep, unbridled hate up close, which is why I can’t help but be a true believer.

205 at 145 is definitely solid. As a rule dbl bodyweight bench is “very strong”. Triple bodyweight and you are in line to be a world champion powerlifter.
I’ve seen a guy in that realm ( about 150 lbs) put up 425 in the gym, no wraps, no bench shirt. It was very impressive. My best ever, was 2.37 x bodyweight and I broke a lot of capillaries in my face and could only do it with a reverse grip, Anthony Clark style
