Today, after British Crown Prosecutors finished wrapping up their lengthy case against three defendants from London accused of using the Internet to facilitate acts of terrorism in Europe, North America, and the Middle East, two of those defendants — Younis Tsouli (a.k.a. “Terrorist 007”) and Wasim Mughal — suddenly reversed their legal course and pled guilty to charges of inciting the commission of an overseas act of terrorism, specifically murder.
When this guy was on the radar at work he was another “hacker” we were “wasting our time with” while “real” work was to be done. My graduate studies; a one-trick pony that would mean nothing in a year. Now he’s going up the river, just like some of his other cohorts will be shortly (I don’t like that we’re trying them like plain vanilla criminals, but I’ll take pretty much any sort of justice at this point) if some have their way. Forensics is a bitch, ain’t it?
