2007 fish count

  • Eight Crappies
  • Five Bluegill
  • Two Largemouth Bass
  • One weird-@$$ shiner-looking thing that I think was an escaped minnow who beat the odds and managed to grow to adult-hood
Kudos to brother-in-law number-one who landed a 25” walleye that scared the hell out of us after two days of catching nothing but pan fish.

Nuts to the turtles that made off with a bass, two bluegills and the biggest crappie of the bunch (going to a metal mesh bag next year).

Spear-fishing?

Michael Tanji [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I’m ethnic but I’m not Chippewa. ;-)

Light-weight Shimano spinning rig with minnows on a Mepps spinner for the crappies and bass, worms on a bobber for the panfish.

I’m not proud: I’ll happily point out that the biggest bluegill was brought in on the boy’s 3’ Batman pole.
